For the week of April 19, 2009
Focus of this week: Family
Chosen
or not, the word Family means many different things to each
of us. To some it means love and happiness; to others it is
more like a 4 letter word that brings up a lot of sadness
with memories of anger and dysfunction. Later in life many
of us choose great friends that we allow to be our chosen
family. These friendships can be stronger than any blood relation.
This is a week that will be focused on those you know and
have known. No matter what the word Family means to each of
you, we are adults, and it is time to focus on the present
and understand our past and the decisions made by others for
us, good or bad. Now is a great time for a reading on why
you chose your particular people.
This is a week in which the element of reunion seems to float
within the consciousness of everyone. It is a time when memories
drift back to the past, and many will find that they are making
plans to get together with people they have not seen in years.
This can also be a time in which families remember those who
have blended with the light.
Even though from time to time it may feel a little melancholy,
there is also a very warm, fuzzy feeling to this week as well.
Old pictures will come out, and the very young may get a bit
bored with stories about their ancestors, but that’s
how family history is passed down to the younger generations.
Many will begin the search for their roots, and most will
find them in unexpected places.
For some there will be an internal seeking that drives them
to ancient books if they have them, or to searches on the
Internet. Filling in the blanks and remembering those who
have passed will be an interesting addition to the activities
of the week. Finding those missing links to our ancestors
enriches the feeling of family, and it is a wonderful way
to teach history to the younger generation.
We
are all starting to search for what would be called "The
Big Picture" where things went wrong in our personal
lives, so we can move forward just in time for the whole month
of May to be in Mercury Retrograde. Lots of really good energy
is on its way into our lives this week, and many who are unemployed
could get a break if they work hard at finding a new source
of income.
